LIP FILLER AT ALLOR AUCKLAND
Restore volume.  Define shape.  Smooth lines.

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “I’d love just a little more shape or volume to my lips,” you’re not alone.

Many people searching for lip fillers in Auckland want results that look refined and natural, without losing the character of their own lips.  We focus on proportion, precision, and careful product selection to create subtle, high-quality enhancement that feels balanced with the rest of your features. It’s an approach that helps people feel confident they’re choosing a clinic that prioritises safety, harmony and a personalised experience.

At ALLOR, we understand that lip enhancement isn’t about transformation. It’s about refinement. Whether you’re after soft volume, subtle definition or a gentle correction of asymmetry, our focus is always on natural results that enhance your features without overpowering them.

We take a conservative, balanced approach to create lips that still feel like yours, just a little more polished.

What are Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts water and adds volume.

Depending on your goals, we choose a filler that’s softer or more structured - always tailored to your unique facial proportions.  The most commonly used fillers at ALLOR include Restylane® and Belotero®.

Choosing the right product matters just as much as where it’s placed.  Some fillers are designed for gentle smoothing, while others provide more support or shape.  A skilled practitioner will know which formulation suits your lips best - it’s never a one-size-fits-all approach.

It’s also not about copying someone else’s lips.  It’s about creating harmony with the rest of your face, so the result looks soft, balanced, and unmistakably you.

What Can Lip Fillers Help With?

Every lip is unique and so are the reasons people choose to enhance them.  Lip filler isn’t just about making lips bigger.  It’s about refining shape, restoring balance, and softening the changes that happen with time.

Some of the most common concerns that lip fillers can help with include:

Loss of volume

Lips that feel thinner, deflated or less full with age.

Undefined lip borders

Blurring of the natural outline of the lips.

Asymmetry

Uneven shape or size between the left and right side.

Vertical lip lines

Fine lines above the lip that become more visible with age.

Lack of projection

Lips that appear flat from the side or disappear when smiling.

Drooping corners

Corners of the mouth that droop, creating a tired or sad look.

A naturally small upper lip

Naturally minimal upper lip that lacks balance with the lower.

The Importance of a Personalised Consultation

Every lip enhancement at ALLOR begins with a conversation.  No rushed decisions, no cookie-cutter approaches - just time set aside to understand what you’re hoping for, and what your lips actually need.

Lips aren’t treated in isolation.  They’re part of your unique features and deserve the same thoughtful, whole-face approach.  Whether you’re looking to restore soft volume, refine your lip border, or correct asymmetry, the key is to create balance so the result looks natural and effortless, never exaggerated.

We offer personalised initial consultations designed to help you explore your options with confidence. You’ll receive clear advice, expert care, and a calm, welcoming space to ask questions and make the decision that feels right for you.

Step-By-Step: Your Lip Filler Treatment
at ALLOR Cosmetic Medicine

Before Your Treatment: How to Prepare

The following are general preparation guidelines commonly recommended before lip filler treatment. Your individual situation may vary, and you should always follow personalised advice provided during your initial consultation.

1. Please avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatories) for 24 hours before treatment to minimise bruising and swelling.  If you take prescribed medications, these will be discussed during your initial consultation.  Do not stop any prescribed medications unless advised by your prescribing doctor.

2. Arrive at your appointment with clean skin, your skin will also be cleansed before treatment.  Arriving make-up free helps ensure a clean canvas and minimises the risk of infection.

3. Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, hair removal and microdermabrasion for at least one week beforehand and one week after.  Active skincare ingredients such as retinoids (vitamin A/retinol), AHAs, and exfoliants are typically paused for at least three to five days beforehand, as these can increase skin sensitivity.

4. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to support healthy, hydrated skin.

5. If you have any active skin infections, cold sores, allergies or other concerns, please let us know before your appointment so these can be discussed and managed appropriately.

6. Schedule your treatment at least two weeks before any important events to allow time for settling and optimal results.  Also please ensure you remain in Auckland for one week after your treatment, to ensure any complications can be swiftly treated.

7. Try to avoid flying overseas four weeks after your treatment to ensure no unwanted swelling occurs due to in-flight pressure treatments.

8. If you feel unwell, have dental work or vaccinations in two to four weeks prior to your treatment, please let us know as we may need to re-schedule your treatment.  Dermal filler must only be injected when someone does not have an active immune system, to avoid complications such as granulomas or nodules.

During Your Lip Filler Treatment

1. Lip filler treatments typically take one hour.

2. Each treatment involves a series of precise injections with a needle and/or cannula, targeting specific areas of concern.  Your tissues will respond immediately to the filler, so we always get you to look in the mirror so you can see how it is changing and feel comfortable throughout your treatment.

3. Some people may experience slight pain or a pinching sensation at the injection sites, but it is generally well-tolerated.  Topical numbing agent is used for areas where needles are used such as the lips, to minimise discomfort.  The lip filler itself contains local anaesthetic, so comfort will be maximised during treatment.  I can also inject local anaesthetic prior to filler injection and supply distraction devices if required.

4. We use premium dermal filler brands Restylane® and Belotero®, chosen for their proven safety, efficacy and natural-looking results.

Immediately After Treatment: What You’ll Notice

1. Immediately after your lip filler treatment you may notice some mild swelling, tenderness, or redness around the injection sites.  These effects are completely normal and usually settle within a few hours, up to a few days.

2. Bruising can occasionally occur, depending on the area treated and individual skin sensitivity, but we take every precaution to minimise this risk.

3. It is common to experience small areas of firmness initially as the filler begins to integrate naturally with your tissues over the following four to six weeks.

4. We provide you with clear aftercare instructions with a contact phone number and can recommend tailored skincare products to support your healing if desired.  We also schedule a complimentary follow-up four to six weeks after your treatment to review your progress, answer any questions, and ensure you are happy with your results.

When Lip Filler Results Start to Show

1. You will start to see the benefits of your treatment immediately, with continued improvement over the next four to six weeks as any swelling resolves and the filler settles into place. The final result is a naturally refreshed, more balanced appearance that enhances your own features without looking overdone.

2. Dermal filler results typically last between six months to two years, depending on the areas treated, the type of filler used, and your individual metabolism.

Lip Filler Cost

Restylane® and Belotero® lip filler costs:

$800 / 1mL

Lip filler treatments typically use up to 1mL, which is often ideal for soft, natural-looking results.  If the full amount isn’t needed in the lips, the remaining filler can often be used to treat other areas of mild volume loss or support - such as the corners of the mouth or fine lines around the lower face.

Will my lips look overfilled or unnatural?
No - at ALLOR, we focus on subtle, balanced enhancements.  Your lips will be carefully shaped to suit your features, never overdone or exaggerated.

How much lip filler do I need?
Most people only need up to 1mL for a natural-looking result.  If you don’t use the full amount in your lips, the remaining product can often be used in other areas, like the corners of the mouth or fine lines nearby.

Immediately after treatment, your lips may appear slightly swollen or puffy.  Swelling generally continues for 1-2 weeks after treatment, then settles over the following weeks, with final results visible 4 to 6 weeks after treatment once the filler has fully integrated.

How much does lip filler cost at ALLOR?
Lip filler costs $800 for 1mL.  If the full amount isn’t needed in the lips, the remaining filler can often be used to treat nearby areas like fine lines or mouth corners.

Do I need to avoid anything after my appointment?
Yes.  For the first 24–48 hours, avoid alcohol, kissing, makeup on the lips, heavy exercise, and hot environments like saunas to let your lips settle naturally.
